1. From these activities, I learned new techniques and gained more background knowledge.
2. I think that the tree activity will help me the most in my painting, since I have many trees in my paintings 3. From my warmups, I definitely learned the most from the texture one. This let me gain new techniques to better my art. 4. You make brown by combining colors across from each other on the color wheel 5. You town down a color by adding gray.

Above are my 3 drawings from the drawing unit of Art I. I used 3 different mediums for each ( Charcoal, Pen, and Pencil ).
1. The most helpful warmup from this unit was the sign language hands. It really helped me draw hands which I have always struggled with. 2. Composition- The arrangement of the art piece. Value- The lights/ darks in the piece that add dimension 3. Pencil- Pros; Able to erase and add value. Cons; harder to be precise Charcoal- Pros; Able to blend making it easy to add value. Cons; Very messy Pen- Able to make precise, dark lines. Cons; Cant add value easily or erase. Artist I am inspired byArtist Rose De Jong, based in Amsterdam creates miniature houses on cliffs. She uses cork, fake moss, and tiny houses to make amazing sculptures. She hangs these cork cliffs from wire and mounts them to a wooden frame, or places them in clear tubes made of glass. I really like the calming feel the pieces give me. It is so cool to me how an artist can make something so amazing yet so tiny. It almost reminds me of a model you would see in a history museum. This artist is very talented making extremely detailed beautiful pieces. You can view more artwork on her website: http://micro-matter.com.
